Programme Notes

This concert promises a captivating journey through the expressive realm of piano trios by Mozart, Beethoven, and Mendelssohn.  In Mozart’s K496 his genius shines in a virtuosic piano part and he elevates the other instruments to speak as equals.  In Gassenhauer, Beethoven has the piano and clarinet engage in witty, playful conversation.  Mendelssohn’s Opus 66 is dramatic and restless; an expression of Romantic intensity making high technical demands of the players.

Programmes (containing notes) are free and will be available at the door to the Concert Hall.
